I think it's probably a sign of some sort of disorder that I mentally pack my suitcase when I'm bored, falling asleep, avoiding homework, cleaning the house... whatever. I don't mean "pack my suitcase" as some sort of euphemism, I mean literally... I think about if I were going on vacation, what I'd bring and how compact I could pack it, and what I'd take in my carry on, and whether I should buy hiking shoes to take with me on trips, and that I'd like to get some cargo pants, and so on and so forth. I stop JUST short of going into my bedroom, taking down my cute hot-pink suitcase and doing a practice run. I've also taken to entering any vacation giveaway sweepstakes I can find. It's not that I really want to get AWAY from things as go TO things. There are just so many places I want to go. The National Geographic Traveller magazine I picked up at the library sale, or the new travel agency I pass everytime I drive to my house are not helping matters at all.
So to indulge my fantasies, here are the top 10 places I am burning to go (since I know you care)...
1. India. Specifically, I want to go to Mumbai, Delhi, Amritsar, Agra, Ayodhya, and Varanasi.
2. Thailand.
3. San Francisco, CA, USA.
4. Rome, Italy.
5. Istanbul, Turkey.
6. Morocco.
7. Cairo and Giza, Egypt.
8. Costa Rica.
9. London, England.
10. Paris, France.
11. Ireland.
12. Bali.
13. Puerto Rico.
14. Sydney, Australia.
15. Moscow and St. Petersburg, Russia.
Oh, whoops, I was going to stop at 10 wasn't I? Well, let's just say you could pretty much point to a spot on the globe and I'd probably want to go there. Unless it's really cold. I live in Minnesota - I have no desire to travel to colder places, thankyouverymuch.
*ahhh...* I really need to find a way to be paid to travel...

Hmm... I don't see South Carolina on that list! I think you'd really like Charleston if you ever get the chance!
Well, actually Jess, it's been my long time goal to visit all 50 states so I DO want to go to SC sometime. :) I haven't been anywhere in the SE at all... furthest south I've been on the East coast is Arlington, VA.
What an eclectic list! Sounds like a lot of fun places. I am going to San Francisco Memorial Day weekend. I have never been there before and can't wait to go!!
Would I fit in that cute pink suitcase? I'm tagging along, just so you know.
You're going to miss our 10-year, Sarah! (Although I'd rather be going to SF, too.)
It's a pretty small suitcase and VERY pink, Corey. ;) But I love travel buddies. :D
